Abbot's Brae under the hand of Christine & Colin is definitely one of the best hotels I've ever been. Located in quiet and peaceful landscape with a closed to perfect friendly service.... When ever I'll be around there again, Abbot's Brae is my hotel of choice....

If your looking for a first class hotel with great food this is the place to stay. Our first floor room was extreamly spacious and comfortable with a large ensuite bathroom. From the window there are fantistic views across the bay which are ever changing with the moods of the weather.
Christine and Collin are fantastic hosts and made us feel very welcome from the moment we entered. We dined one night in the hotel and the food and service was first class, we had drinks in the lounge before our meal and Christine was very helpfull in guiding me through there extensive collection of whiskys.They have a great knowledge of the area and are happy to recommended some great places to visit or some good restaurants for an evening meal. They even returned my phone charger which I foolishly left in my bedroom. Highly recommended and we will definately use this hotel the next time we visit the area

This was our second stay at Christine & Colin's fantastic hotel. They arranged and hosted our son and daughter-in-law's wedding 2 years ago and nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing - I'm sure Colin should be awarded a Michelin Star !!! They made everyone feel part of the family and it was like staying with friends. We got the same fantastic friendly greeting on this visit. The room was of the highest standard and the breakfast was the best "full Scottish" in the world !! We highly recommend this hotel for excellence on every level. Look forward to our next visit to the Brae.

We went here for my girlfriends 30th birthday we were looking for a nice informal place on the coast that was not that far from our home in Stirling.

When booking the hotel I was offered many additions to make our stay as romantic as possible. This included flowers and chocolates being in our room on arrival which was a nice touch. When we arrived were greeted warmly by Colin, one of the owners, he introduced himself and showed us around the hotel and our room. We instantly felt at home as we were on first name terms with all the staff and felt that nothing would be a hassle if we were to ask them.

The room itself was huge with a four poster bed, two seating areas and an amazing view looking out on the beach and water. The bathroom was again huge and had both a shower and a bath big enough for two. Warm and comfortable the room was more than adequate for the two of us to survive in the highest luxury for our two night stay.

Breakfast the following day was of great entertainment as almost on cue a squadron of red squirrels began feasting on the nuts laid out by the staff. Always nice to have something to look at while we ate! This was all set against the beautiful backdrop that I mentioned earlier. We only dined one night in the hotel and the food was lovely and we were waited on most attentively, having drinks in the lounge beforehand and only being called to the table when our food was ready.

All in all we had a great time here and most memorable for many different reasons, great fun had by all and in no a small part due to the fabulous staff and the service they provided. It was a bit of a luxury but worth it to celebrate a special event. I could not recommend highly enough.
