“Had to come back again & again.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

On a recent 5 day visit to the Dunoon area we came across this wonderful restaurant on our first night. Great value for money and excellent portions, with amazing tasting food. Lovely and clean and the team were wonderful, especially Aaron & Ronnie.
It was so good that we went a total of 4 times during our trip and we will defo be back.
Anyone that does not try this little gem must be made. :-)

“Good food, attentive staff, great value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

We popped in here on looking at their inviting menu outside. We thought it was very strange that they weren't open all day on a Saturday at the height of the holiday season! We booked for 7pm. The interior is bright, modern and lovely and cool. The staff are from all over the world and are attentive and helpful. The restaurant was very busy. Modern Italian menu then, a bit confusingly, there is also Spanish Tapas. We opted for Italian, starters, mains and desserts. All lovely and generous portions too.
Nice atmosphere, casual/bistro, good food and attentive staff. Very good value for money.

“Sorry were closed!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2013

My friend and I walked into this restaurant on a beautiful warm bank holiday Saturday, the time was 3.15pm. Beautiful decor, air conditioning....bliss. Would love to comment on the meal, but no chance as we were politely informed they were closed. This is almost a journey back to Scotland of yesteryear. Come on guys, you are in a busy high street, Dunoon was teaming with visitors, what a let down!

“Good food, good value, questionable staff!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2013

My other half and I come here more often than I'd like to admit, for the sole reason that it's exceptionally cheap - two mains, drinks and coffees afterwards normally cost in the region of just over £20. The portions are generouslyy sized, and you even get free bread with olive oil and balsamic beforehand as well as breadsticks. You leave absolutely stuffed and having spent barely 20 quid, which isn't much less than you'd spend in the supermarket for dinner, these days!

The one thing about this place that continually bugs me is the staff. A few of them are not particularly engaging, and quite often upon entering we just get asked "have you booked"; to which a reply of "no" is often met with very visual negativity, despite the place nearly always being empty and lacking many "reserved" signs on the tables. Staff appear to linger and watch over you, which can be uncomfortable, and I have even had a waiter approach me asking "is there something wrong with your pizza" when I was merely taking a breath!

All in all the only thing that occasionally still brings us here are the ridiculously cheap prices and admittedly nice coffee, but the staff leave a lot to be desired.

I would also add that their takeaway pizzas are acceptable, but to me seemed different from the ones you buy in the restaurant (most likely frozen) - I can live with this though.
