Spent the May bank holiday in a lodge with my wife and two kids, 4 and 7. On arrival check in was quick and we quickly found our lodge. We have stayed in a hot tub lodge at Drimsynie before so we were a bit worried about the basic lodge, but we were pleasantly surprised. The lodge was a two bedroom comfort lodge. It was clean, warm, had two bedrooms and contained everything we needed. We ate out two nights at the on site bar and grill. Although the service was good and the staff friendly, the food wasn't the best. Tasted like re heated frozen meals. Only ate there on the second occasion due to the rain.
The kids had a ball at the pool. Two good size pools, one shallow for the kids. They are both clean with adequate changing facilities. We also booked a few go active activities for the kids. They had a great time at the pirate and Wild West parties and the staff were great with the kids. The balance bikes and water walkers were also a hit. The fun house contains a large soft play area and arcade games with tickets to be won. It cost us £16 pounds in total for the kids to have unlimited access to the play area for the 3 days. Thought this was quite reasonable. My only complaint about the fun house was the staff. They are front line and dealing with children day in day out. They need customer service training in how to speak to kids and adults. Not everyone can be happy at their work. But to openly discuss how fed up they were dealing with kids I thought was shocking.
It's a shame because that was the only bad point of the holiday. The rest of the staff and service was excellent.

Since the Bar & Grill has been refurbished, we have recieved many compliments about the food, so we will look into this. Go Active has been hugely popular since launching last year, glad you took part in and enjoyed the activities. It's disappointing to hear that you felt the Funhouse staff had poor customer service. We do pride ourselves in training our employees to a high level, and will look into your complaint.
