We stayed at The Huddersfield Lodge whilst going to a rugby match at the nearby stadium. The Car park is extremely secure - you want to try getting your car out of there! You certainly did not worry about it!

Rooms are ok, staff are extremely friendly. The most weird thing about staying here, was there was no food available in the evening - they did supply menu's galore from the local Restaurants, you could choose what you wanted and some even delivered! Breakfast was excellent and the staff were attentive.

Look out for the list of z list celebrities who have stayed at the Lodge - I think a few of them were still even alive ;0)

The pub across from the Hotel is quite loud (as stated in a previous review). But for the price, your car still having tyres in the morning, eggs sunny side up with a smile - it really is well worth a look in!

We had 2 rooms just for a Saturday night on April 25th. On the plus side: Good central location and secure parking. A warm welcome and help with arranging a dinner reservation. Rooms were spotlessly clean and a comfy bed. Very good breakfast with eggs cooked to order. Only one thing on the minus side: noisy pub across the road. Other than that, I would recommend Huddersfield Central Lodge to everyone.

We live in Hong Kong & we stayed here while we visited our daughter who lives in Huddersfield. Everything was so good about this hotel, the staff are friendly & helpful & the place has character, a nice change from hotel chains. The free Wi Fi was a real bonus. It was nice to have secure parking for the hire car as well. It was alot better then a so called 5 star hotel we had just stayed in while we were in Milan.

I would thoroughly recommend this hotel & we will stay there again on our next visit.

During our pilgrimage to the UK, we based ourselves in Huddersfield on and off over a period of around 3 weeks. The hotel is very central, perfect for us, as we did not have the use of a vehicle. The rooms were very clean and tidy, and the staff went out of their way to be friendly & helpful. The English breakfasts were delicious, and set us up well for our days out sightseeing. We intended to return to the UK sometime over the next couple of years and we will definitely be staying at the Huddersfield Central Lodge when we do.
