“Very convenient and comfortable- it does what it says on the tin”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 days ago NEW

The last couple of travelodges I've stayed in have been poor, and I had switched to premier inns, however, I read some of the previous reviews and got a very good price for my 4 night stay, so decided to chance it. And I'm glad I did. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and fresh, and the parking and location were ideal for what I needed. I was on the 2nd floor, looking out to the main road rather than the canal, but even with the window open, the noise levels were fine. There is ample parking and both a Costa Coffee and pub (the Rose of Yorkshire) on the same site, and it was an easy, flat 20 min walk to the train station, and a good bus service from the main road. I liked the refreshed room look, and felt comfortable throughout my stay. The basics are all there, and the bed was very good. Half the rooms had baths, and the other half are shower only. The shower was easy to use and there was plenty of hot water. I would be happy to recommend this travelodge, and would easily use it again.

Stayed 2 nights with another family member. The hotel and rooms were spotlessly clean, the staff friendly and helpful with our queries. The hotel is well-positioned with a Costa opposite and a ten minute walk into town. Well done to Beverley and Julia who offer an excellent service.

Room Tip: Found the family room single bed uncomfortable - it was a 'put you up' type bed, however we...

I'm a regular visitor to another Travelodge but this was the first time I'd stayed in an updated one. Very impressed with the new look and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Beverley on Reception made us feel very welcome, it was like meeting an old friend. Well done Travelodge for having first class staff.

I stayed overnight here as part of a business trip and would recommend. The staff were lovely and at all times helpful and polite. The room looked good, was spotless, and comfy. I was quite impressed.

After staying in the travel lodge in upper brook street manchester on the university tour we went to Huddersfield without too many expectations but to our surprise we found our family room with a double sized camp bed this time instead of a sagging inadequate single, we had already booked another room for our daughter after the manchester experience so didn't really need the camp bed but again room very warm so we had separate beds that night. Lovely and clean with a sweet smelling bathroom this time, would get a five star if it served a good cooked breakfast like manchester. 24 hour costa coffee just across the car park for those who like coffee and 2 for 1 pub the Yorkshire rose the other side so finding a quick evening meal was simple, definitely stay here again

I stayed at Huddersfield Travelodge recently after hearing from a friend that their newly upgraded hotels were very good. Unfortunately I can say that is most definitely not the case.

We ordered a twin room and the extra bed was the tiniest I have ever seen and not suitable at all for a fully grown adult (at 5'5" I'm not exactly tall). It was a camp bed style fold up bed, rather than a made up sofa and very uncomfortable. Noise from inside the hotel was also a problem and we had a pretty bad night's sleep.

Sorry Travelodge but you just can't compete with Premier Inn.
