“Legendary”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

A jewel in the centre of Luton, the almost legendary chicken wings are a must, friendly and professional staff, comfortable surroundings.
Will defiantly visit again hopefully soon.

“Have to try the tapas!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2013 via mobile

I visited papa js on a saturday lunchtime for a family meal. The restaurant was very quiet and there was only one other party there at the time. We ordered a range of tapas for starters and a mixture of curries rice and naans for mains. After a short wait the tapas arrived and it all looked amazing. You have to try the chatpata wings!! A little bit spicy and so delicious. I would also recommend trying the vegetable manchurian dry. in fact, everything was very good! We also had samosas, lamb koftas and popcorn chicken which all tasted great. The portions are quite big so we were all almost full before the mains. The mains were nice, but nothing out of the ordinary. Jeera rice was tasty, although the rice wasnt served till about 5 mins after the mains which was a bit annoying. The peshwari naan is made like how i have had in Goa, with small chopped up sweets inside. Probably the traditional way, but i prefer it with crushed nuts. Overall the mains were ok but the tapas is the main attraction! I would definitly go back, but just have the tapas (lots of great sounding dishes i would still like to try!) One final note, it was very cold in there! They did have a small heater by the table, but the chairs are so large they block out all the heat. However the tapas was great so worth being a little chilli (haha).

“something different for sunday”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

I'm not a great lover of Indian food as I find some of the flavours can over power the food but on a cold sunday lunchtime in Luton this meal hit the mark.
We ordered two main course signature dishes with rice and nann bread, and it was perfect a nice bottle of wine and we were set up for the day.
What I like about any ethnic restaurant as well is that half the customers were Indian,I think that is a complement to any restaurant.
If I were going to make any comment it would be to update your menus they did look tired.
