What can I say?
Small shabby Rooms, ridiculous payment rules and draconian cancellation policy.
They refused to take cash payment and insisted on a credit card. The staff were rude when we tried to book and kept putting hurdles in front of us.
When we checked out at 8 in the morning a day early they took payment for the final night and when I questioned it I was told it was policy and what was I going to do about it? . I also asked if we would get our money back if the rooms were let, nothing. I understand that they must get a lot of cancellations and I bet they wonder why. They could have even tried being polite, that might have eased matters. I understand now why they were so desperate for a credit card number.
I stay in hotels all over the country and have never been left with a worse impression of ANYWHERE. Basically I was made to feel like I was bound to do a runner without paying.
Apart from the poor parking and traffic noise and all of the above, the breakfast is OK and it's 10 minutes to town. And at least one of the staff was polite and helpful. Basically though I wouldn't bother.
