“Outstanding delicious food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013

My husband and I went to this restaurant whilst sightseeing in the area on a bank holiday Monday . We used the trip advisor app to find somewhere to eat nearby to our location . The restaurant was easy to find and it's outside appearance is a little dated but the menu is outstanding quality and great value for money . We were the only customers , but this was more to do with our 6pm arrival on a bank holiday Monday , than a reflection on the restaurant . The service was efficient and polite without being overbearing and the facilities were clean and in good order . I would definately recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Newbury .

“A little bit different”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

Visited this recently and found it a little different from normal Asian reastaurants, which made a nice change. It was very busy on the evening we went which is always a good sign. The staff were very busy and efficient and the food arrived in good time. The decor was a little tired and could do with a spruce up but all in all I would highly recommend this place.

“Great food but the place needs a revamp!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

I wasn't sure how to share out the 5 stars between food and the environment. If it was split in two - food 5, environment 0. This lace needs to close and get sorted.

The men's toilet door is the smallest door I have ever seen or tried to pass sideways. I'm kinda big, but not that big!

This place needs a revamp. It's always full and we all love the food but we don't need to feel we're in a place where we need NHS gloves and stuff!

“Rather Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

Gave this a try as we were staying at the The Chequers Hotel about 20 yards away. This was my first experience of Nepalese food, which is similar to Indian, but with a few variations, and I was pleasantly surprised. There were 8 of us and we all tried something different. Everyone was very happy, prices were reasonable and they were very patient when a couple of our party were nearly an hour late which delayed everything. Will be going back there when next in town.
