Gianni's does good, honest, tasty Italian food. Service is also good (Uni students doing some waitressing and making a good job of it)? It really should be ranked higher in the Scarborough restaurant list; it is so much better than many of the mediocre places, briefly fashionable, which are masquerading as restaurants in Scarborough. Nicely decorated too, not too noisy, a pleasant place to sit and share a meal with friends. We had fillet steaks and pizzas, both very tasty and fresh, though the fillet was overcooked (just a little) there was not much else to complain about: the veggies were fresh and not overcooked. The chips were truly magnificent. Gianni's is not cheap, somewhere between Florio's and CoGonis, as indeed so its food, but erring on the side of CoGonis. It is a good restaurant and we would happily go there again. The puddings were tasty too. The crème brûlée was delicious. Recommended: book ahead, Gianni's is popular. Good Early Bird menu too. A recommended choice when visiting Scarborough.
