We recently stayed at the Earlsmere for 4 nights and found it to be a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing place to stay. On our arrival Lynne met us with a warm friendly welcome and proceeded to show us round her beautiful Victorian house which retains many of its original features - all of which are beautifully maintained. Our room, at the front of the house overlooking playing fields, was very spacious, comfortable, quiet and scrupulously clean. The large en-suite bathroom was lovely, complete with roll-top bath and a separate free-standing shower. Lynne's care and attention to detail is remarkable - examples such as the fridge on the landing to the hospitality tray complete with a supply of ground coffee and freshly-baked biscuits show a dedication to the enjoyment of her guests which would put many 5-star hotels to shame. The breakfasts were perfectly cooked to order and a selection of lovely home-made jams and marmalades provided. We would also mention that there is ample unrestricted free parking available on Belvedere Road immediately adjacent to the property. Next time we visit Scarborough we will look no further than the Earlsmere.
