Alison is just what a receptionist should be warm and welcoming and concerned that we had a good time. Not the same from all the reception staff ??. Kelly on the bar was lovely and friendly as well. Very small room but clean and as a previous review was only aired not warm even with our radiator on full as were the corridors . Great pool and steam room. Big niggle of ours only few guests staying so the buffet breakfast wasnt out to help yourself to cereals and fruit. Even though the staff went to get what you wanted from the kitchen we feel we wanted to choose our own and felt as though we werent that important and a "would do" was sufficient, it wasnt. In all expensive for what it is and didnt tick our boxes sorry ....Although we rated very good there wasnt an option to choose just good

We visited here for a long weekend on Friday 15th February to 17th February. We had booked a lst floor double front room and could see the sea in the distance and Scarborough Castle. The room was clean and very nice. It had a two seater sofa, one double and a single bed with on suite facilities. The hotel has a nice swimming pool. There are also table tennis and i think there was either a poole or snooker table. There is a t.v. also in the games room. Breakfast was ideal as my husband could have his cooked breakfast and i could have my normal one. There is a varied menu for dinner and the food was well presented and the staff were very friendly. you can order a morning paper. There is a bar area where you can sit throughout the day and they also provide lunch, afternoon tea, sandwiches, cakes etc. They have a car park which was handy for us, as we parked the car and did not get back in it until we were leaving. I would recommend this to anybody. The only drawback for some people if they do not have a car, is that the hotel is on a hill which would be difficult if you have trouble walking. We did not use the fitness centre or room service so cannot give a rating for these.

We have just returned from Park Manor Hotel after staying 2 nights. This was a family celebration for my husbands 65th birthday. Our daughter her husband and our grandaughter and my son and his fiancee were all present.
The hotel was of its usual high standard for cleanliness. The staff were extremely welcoming, we have stayed there on several occassions and they never fail to welcome you back. Nothing is too much trouble to make your stay memorable.
The food in the restaurant is varied and of an extremely high standard. The lounge area is perfect for relaxing and having your after dinner coffee and drinks.
I was surprised to read in a previous entry the hotel was cold. We did not find this in any of the 3 rooms we occupied and indeed were given a heater incase we were cold.
The pool area is excellent and our grandaughter enjoyed an early evening and morning swim with her grandad, uncle and aunt.
We plan to return to the hotel when we attend a concert at the open air theatre, for which this hotel is ideally situated.
Well done and thank you Park Manor for another excellent break.

Room Tip: We always prefer front facing rooms as we enjoy the view over to the Castle

I must say I am rather puzzled as to what has changed towards access in the last few years.
We regularly have wheelchair users in the hotel, ramps for access and disabled toilets etc.
However you obviously experienced difficulties of which i apologize.

my husband and I had two nights here,I can only say I have never been so relaxed. The staff were so welcoming we felt like old friends even though we had never been before.Breakfast was freshly cooked and served by a lovely young man called Geofrey. The room was on the small side but everything was spotlessly clean,in this cold weather it was nice to have a nice warm cosy room also there was loads of hot water if you wanted a bath. The pool area was brilliant, again everywhere was spotlessly clean which to us is very important,we would definately recommend this hotel,we will be going back as soon as we get the time,we just cant praise it and the staff enough

Room Tip: I think any room would be good

Stayed with my son and husband at this hotel, looks better by night than in the daylight. It is the only hotel we have stayed in that turns the heating off during the day and you have to ask for it to be put on !!!! . Entered our room, was like a fridge , windows wide open , to air the room, furniture basic but appeared clean until you ran your hand across the sills and tops, the bathroom had not seen a clean in some areas for a long time, pipes and sills thick with dust, toilet holder hanging off the wall and the shower was a challenge to get to work. When we returned several hours later room was still cool, heating off again at night and did not come on until 6.30 which meant you woke to a very cold room again . Breakfast was basis but ok, staff very helpful. Did we get value for money no , at £55 per person per night to sleep in a cold basic room, I will let the readers of this review decide for themselves. Will not be rushing back to this hotel.

Room Tip: If you want a warm hotle room look elsewhere .

I've visited the Park Manor for both Sunday lunch and for one of their 'Fawlty Towers' nights.

The food on both occasions was absolutely gorgeous, lots of choice and very well prepared and tasty too!

The desserts on the other hand....are completely out of this world. The selection that was presented when I went for Sunday lunch was a sweet tooth's dream!

I'm hoping to return again soon for another meal as it's really good value for the price.

I would totally agree with you, our food is absolutely delicious, especially the desserts. It is a real test of will when you are on a diet but working alongside such treats!

Thank you for your review and we look forward to serving you again soon.
