Fab hotel. most impressive thing was how refreshingly pleasant, helpful and friendly ALL the staff was. certainly going back. Cleanliness very good although our bathroom could have done with a little more wiping of the paintwork.. bedroom curtains should be lined. The food was excellant. This was a big hotel run like a family hotel. wonderful. Not really keen on pets allowed.

Thank you for posting your thoughts and kind comments, we do read every review and endeavour to act upon any feedback.
We do have an ongoing refurbishment plan and are keen to target any bathrooms which may be looking tired.
The hotel is family owned and I am pleased that the team were able to convey this in our service.
Once again, thank you & I look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit.

We stayed one night at the hotel. You can walk into Scarborough as long as you don’t mind the hill. The food was very good, the evening meal was being served to Sixty people and it was hot and of a very good standard. The pool was small but ideal to relax in before dinner. The staff were friendly and when we pointed out our TV did not work, they sorted it within minutes.

We walked in off the street for an impromptu break in unseasonal sunshine. We were offered a great rate for two nights, and we weren't disappointed. We had a lovely, spacious room with sea views. The staff were friendly, the bar and dining room had better views than any Scarborough hotel I've been in, and we had a swim, jacuzzi and sauna. The pool could have been bigger, the breakfast sausages weren't the meatiest, but other than that we couldn't fault it.

A few weeks ago we held out wedding at the ambassador hotel…what can i say…the whole thing was fantastic, the food was outstanding. The beef melted in your mouth and the Yorkshire pudding was as big as a plate. I am just sorry that there was so much waste on the evening buffet, this was probably as the guests kept the bar flowing all night.

On the run up to the wedding the manager was so helpful and thorough, his communication on the event was very good he kept us informed of everything and nothing we asked seemed to be a problem.

During the wedding breakfast again Kieren ensured everything ran smoothly the service was spot on the staff were friendly and ensured that all the guests had everything they needed, the tables looked fabulous just how I had wanted them to look.

We even had breakfast served to us in our complimentary room on the morning following the reception and again the food and service was excellent.

I would highly recommend those wishing to get married to hold their reception here both management and staff were very good and deserve to receive some positive feedback.

We have stayed at the ambassador hotel many times. The food has always been enjoyable (even though I am very particular with
my food).
The staff are very friendly and willingly to help when ever they can.
Looking forward to our next weekend break at the hotel.
