We quite liked the idea of the seafood chowder and were not disappointed; it was excellent, full of fish, mussels and prawns etc. with very little evidence of vegetables to bulk it up. Be warned though, portions are big, if you’re having a main course too then a cup is probably enough (the cup is big!) especially since it comes with a bread roll. There are different prices for cup or bowl.
We also had haddock and chips to follow which was good without being exceptional but as it came with peas, bread/butter and tea it was certainly good value. Maybe we had just been spoilt by the chowder.
The restaurant is on the hill at Eastborough literally at the back of Harry Ramsden’s and the many window seats offer an excellent view over the beach and south bay.
