“Wished we had another night!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

Myself and my boyfriend stayed in the osprey appartment late April 2013 for just 1 night.

We were impressed with the quality of the appartment and felt it was perfect for a short romantic getaway.

Quality fittings and furnishing, handy extras like tea and coffe, the most comfy bed iv ever had the pleasure of sleeping in and a HUGE bath!

We had a problem with the hot water (we ran out) but this was dealt with imidiatly, and although could not be fixed on the night we were given keys to the next appartment to use at our leisure and complimentary wine.

Overall, we were delighted with our appartment and would definatly stay again...for longer!

Absolutely gorgeous apartment, beautiful interior, spotlessly clean, loved it. Superbly equipped for self catering holiday, very central to all shops, restaurants & pubs, couldn't fault it! Very good communication with proprietor, really pleasant and helpful.

I have just stayed in the friarage apartments for a few weeks whilst working in Scarborough.. And I have to say, it was like home from home. So people - please ignore the only bad review on here.
The apartments are very clean, and have all mod cons. Including free wifi, washing machine, and digital tv. And you're very close to everything! The sea is a few mins away and so are the shops.
Lovely Steff - the owner, is always at hand if you need anything, oh, and has a great chippy called the fish pan where I had fish and chips a number of times, always delicious!
Most streets in Scarborough are noisy at night.. It's a seaside town, what do you expect?! But I always felt safe, even at night. And Scarborough folk are lovely.
I can't recommend it enough if you're looking for home comforts.
I will definitely be back!
Thankyou for having me Steff!

My family and I had the pleasure of staying in Hottie's House this summer. We had a fabulous time! Hottie's house was of the highest of standards, boosting modern decor and superb cleanliness. If anyone is looking for a relaxing, hassle free time away this is certainly the place to stay.

As recommended, we went to The Fish Pan and used our voucher given from the owner of the flats for a free bottle of wine, what a treat! These had to have been the best fish and chips I have ever tasted and we went back again!

Thank you for an amazing holiday Steff, will certainly be booking again next year!

I stayed in Gabriels cottage from 6th-13th July this year along with my husband, our 6 year old grandaughter, our 2 oldest daughters with their 2 babies & our little staffy. When we arrived we were met by James who showed us around & he was lovely, really friendly & helpful. Our little girl is severely disabled & had been in & out of hospital a lot over the past 9 months. James told us where the nearest doctors, chemist & hospital were in case of emergency aswell as showing us round the cottage & telling us all we needed to know! The cottage itself was perfect. Each room decorated & furnished to a high standard with everything matching & immaculate, like a showhouse but with the feel of home. Had everything we could want for a large family with children from the tvs in every room to the washing machine. The free wifi was great too;) everything was spotless, we had lovely fresh bedding (egyptian cotton, nothing cheap & nasty) & plenty of towels. We were a stones throw from the beach & shops so the location was great. Outside we had a little courtyard with table & chairs which was great too as we were there during one of the hottest weeks of the year & it had a large wall so we could leave the prams & washing outside safely. We had the BEST week ever & we didnt want to go home;( but we can recommend not just the cottage but the friendly staff & we can,t wait to go back again! Clare, Phil, Katie, Lisa, Lilli, Ava, Sonny & Kizzie the dog!

We spent a week in this glorious cottage. 5 minutes walk to the shops and about 3 minutes to the beach front. We were made more than welcome by James who was very helpful and told us where to visit and given the grand tour of the house. The house is so much bigger inside than we thought! Everything we needed (including an airer for our freshly washed clothes). The cottage is very homely with some lovely little touches.

As you are so near to the beach and all local amenities, you can park your car in the space provided and pretty much leave it unless you want to go out of Scarborough. We visited Robin Hood's Bay (fantastic for fossil hunting with the kids) and Whitby (lovely little quaint place) on one of the nicer days and these are excellent places to visit. Even although the good old British weather was it's usual dreary drizzly rain, we still had a fantastic week. Highly recommend Friarage apartments and we will definitely be returning in the near future!!! Thank you the Hodgsons!!!! The Aziz Family

This cottage is in the perfect location for staying in Scarborough. It is situated above south beach but is also within a 10 minute walk of north beach. We could not have found anywhere with a better location. There is also the added bonus of a parking space.

The cottage itself is more than ideal to house 4 people. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable. The living area downstairs is open plan and consists of kitchen, dining and lounge area. The seating area is comfortable, no one needs to feel on top of each other, lovely big flat screen tv - also a bonus as some accommodation only provides small tvs in the lounge area.

The kitchen is well equipped, everything is provided even a washing machine.

Outside is a small patio with a bistro table and three chairs. We did get to enjoy a little sunshine out the front on one occasion. There is a 6ft wall providing privacy from the street. Just beyond that is the car parking space.

I would recommend this accommodation for families who want to be in the thick of it, we didn't need to move the car at all. The only time it moved was when we went to Flamingo Land.

Also recommend the fish and chips at the Fish Pan. Get there early for lunch as it soon gets busy and people are waiting for tables by 12.30 pm. Tricolos restaurant is really convenient, 2 minutes away and has an earlybird menu from 4 til 6 pm for 5.95 mains. Food is delicious and great service too.

Great adventure golf on North Bay, not the Sea Life centre they want £4.00 per person, the old championship course was £2.00 per person and was really great despite looking a little tired. North bay also has a lovely park with a boating lake, take either a row boat or paddle boat for 30 minutes for just under 6.00 for a family of 3. Just under £8.00 for a family of 4.
