“A very good Premier Inn”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2012

This Premier Inn is new and spotlessly clean and fresh.
You would never describe Premier Inns as palacial and decadent as that is not their style, but this one has a very pleasant restaurant attached and its rooms are very comfortable modern and immaculatly clean.
Reception was very friendly, helpful and informative and the staff serving the freshly cooked breakfast were all pleasant articulate and polite.
Our room on the third floor looked out onto the cliff near the spa building and the room was very bright and airy. We requested a quiet room and I slept like a baby in the kingsize comfy bed.

You can park across the road and we have always found a space here, however no onsite parking may be tricky for some. You are right in the centre of town and close to the spa and beach area.

Would recommend this hotel 100%

We stayed here for a weekend and it was excellent value for money. We had a family room, which was very clean and new-looking, slept well, and enjoyed the breakfast buffets and evening meal in the Brewer's Fayre restaurant. The staff were friendly, welcoming, helpful and professional and our 8-year old daughter loved it all. We parked in the shopping centre car park across the road, and because the room was so cheap we didn't mind paying. All in all, a great, afforable place to stay :)

Spotless hotel, excellent location and really helpful staff. Parking not a problem, use the Palm Court multi storey opposite. The Adjoining Chef and Brewer is well managed and good value for drinks and breakfast.

I stayed here for Easter weekend with my family, the price was not bad for what you get.
It was friendly, comfortable and quiet considering it is a town centre hotel.
Close to amenities eg: town centre, shopping superstore, pubs and eateries.
Stones throw to the beach and amusement arcades via walking through little alleys or cable car which is fun, my 10 year old enjoyed it.Overall not a bad stay.

Stayed at this hotel on 15th and 16th of April. The hotel is in a great location in the centre of town. Parking can be drawback especially in the summer. There is council parking directly across the road which is free between 6pm and 9am. This is the best/cheapest option if space is available. The Carousel Pub (Brewers Fare) next door has reasonable food at good prices with a 2 for £10 menu on weekdays a starter and cavery for just over £8 on a Sunday. They also do a themed evening on weeknights i.e. chinese, curries chip shop etc. Didn't take breakfast as Debenhams in the shopping mall across the road was cheaper. The hotel is reasonable new, just over a year old I believe so is in good condition.

On arrival, the receptionist was very helpful and explained everything very well. The room was comfortable with all the standard amenities. Flat screen TV, comfortable bed, decent bathroom. (the only slight niggle was the industrial type toilet paper dispenser in the bathroom which I don't think had been correctly filled as it was really difficult to get any paper out of it). The buffet breakfast was good a with a wide variety of food. Although parking is not included, there is a public car park across the road, just a couple of minutes walk away.

Room Tip: Probably best to have a room that faces away from the main street to avoid traffic and crowd noise.

I have recently stayed at and reviewed another hotel in Scarborough, which was good but only as good as this place if you got a good room. I didn't last time so asked to be g'teed a good one, the price went up dramatically so I returned here. I felt like a traitor returning with his tail between his legs wondering why I ever left in the first place!
If you travel quite a lot, consistency and ease of use are so important, and this hotel covers those off really well. Good welcome, everything works, pleasant rooms, park just over the road, eat on site (haven't done that but was told it was a very acceptable meal) and all for a consistently good value!
I won't be straying away again!!!!
