“Excellent Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2013

Very enjoyable stay all together. First class accommodations and breakfasts. Made very welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Lots of helpful advice on local info. Close to the town amenities, yet tucked quietly away, off the main road.

Absolutely fantastic in every way. Best guest house we have stayed in to date. Fantastic house, great location, wonderful family and a crazy dog!
Breakfasts are unbelievable and choice of hot drinks in rooms is never ending. Biscuits, Sweets and fresh flowers in the room and chocolate every night before bed!
Whole house is spotless and well decorated, all towels and bedding are of good quality. Beds are sooooooo comfortable.
Nothing is too much trouble for Debbie and Andy.

Room Tip: Debbie and Andy only have 2 rooms and both of them are fantastic. Family room is slightly larger and...

Really enjoyed staying with Debbie and Andy at Inglenook, made to feel very much at home and part of the family. Breakfast was wonderful, as was the whole house. Didn't want to leave the extremely comfortable bed, and we hope to be able to return!
Nothing more to say that hasn't been said by everyone else, very much recommended!

It is guaranteed you will not find a better place to stay than Inglenook. Debbie and Andy make you feel part of the family but that is just the beginning. You will have top notch accommodations....either room is amazing. We stayed in the double and did not want to leave! The views of the garden from the windows just took your breath away. The bed itself was comfortable and the room arrangement allows you to unpack and feel at home. Now on to the food....words do not do justice to Debbie's cooking. The croissants, crumpets, scones and the cereals, egg selection as well as bacon, sausage all are there for the asking. Debbie has one goal and that is to make sure you are relaxing, enjoying her foods and loving your time at Inglenook. Outside you will experience a visual treat. The ponds, gardens and surrounding hillside will envelop you in a little bit of paradise. While there you can bird watch or you might be lucky and catch a glimpse of native wildlife as they pass through the garden. Inglenook is a special place.....it is made that way by the love and attention shown by Debbie and Andy....if you visit the area you MUST stay at Inglenook. I did and I hope to return one day.....the scones with clotted cream and strawberries were just over the moon!
See you at inglenook.

Room Tip: Clicked swimming pool but it is a hot tub.

It is so lovely to get such a super review from such well traveled people.
We thoroughly enjoyed meeting you both and hope we can meet up in Florida in the not too distant future for a catch up.
Andy and I hope you enjoyed your stay in the UK, (apart from the weather) which turned a bit by the time you got to the east coast.
Until will meet again.
Kindest Regards Andy Debbie Jen and Tyler xxxxx

My partner and I were most disappointed to only be staying at the Inglenook guest house for the one night, we didn't want to leave! We found our stay very comfortable, so homely and all our needs were catered for.
Breakfast was superb and more than enough for us, which set up our day beautifully. A grand double room, luxurious, very clean and made for a great nights rest.
Debbie and Andy are two of the friendliest, nicest people we've had the pleasure of meeting, also Tyler their lovely dog! The best b & b we have ever stayed in, amazing service. We look forward to staying in this beautifully set guest house again soon.

Anyone looking for a good bed and breakfast in Scarborough do not need to look any further than the Inglenook guest house. Debbie is a fantastic host and nothing is too much trouble for her, the food is excellent and plentiful. The room was spacious, clean and had lovely views overlooking the garden and there was also a complimentary tray with a variety of hot drinks and biscuits. Debbie, Andy and Tyler the dog were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. I would highly recommend anyone who is looking for a value for money guest house to book the inglenook.
