Just returned form 3 night break away with my Mum. Lovely executive rooms, truly excellent food and warm personal service. A pleasure to stay here. This hotel has a really homely atmosphere and the staff are all attentive and personal. Its in a great location too! Very highly recommended!!

I want to thank every member of the team I came across at The Mount Hotel. Each and every one of you were kind, attentive and made us feel at home.
The Hotel is very traditional which does mean some of the decor could be classed as tired but to me it added to the nostalgia of such a historic hotel. Yes the corridors are narrow in places and there are a few steps to get into the entrance, the lift is small but these are insignificant. The room and bathroom were spotless. Tracey and her colleague (I apologise I did not get her name) the housekeepers that we had on the thrid floor are a credit to the establishment.

Breakfast was lovely. The full english is a great start for a long day. Very generous portions and we ended up only needing that and supper and lots of choice especially some things that would be never heard of at large chain hotels if you didn't want such a large breakfast. The staff again very attentive.

My only disapointment was having to come home.

Outside the control of the hotel parking is a little awkward to get a space. If you cannot get a space outside the hotel then it is recommended to park at The Cresent. You can get a permit which lasts 24 hours for £3 per day or unlimited and free if you are a Blue Badge holder. be careful in some of the the other council monitored car parks as Blue Badge holders still have to pay.

Also the Seagulls never seem to shut up even at 2am they were still full of chatter, I have no idea when they sleep.

Thank you again for a lovely stay. See you again soon.

Room Tip: We wish we had paid the extra for a Sea view but we will next time as we will be back. Room 46 is la...

We have just returned from a 2 night stay at this hotel. We stayed in Room 39 which was very clean and had great sea views. The beds were very comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. The hotel is a little old fashioned but in a good way. The staff are very helpful and pleasant making sure everything is just right for you. The best thing about this hotel is the food and the beautiful dining room. Everything in the dining room is set out so beautifully with white linen table cloths. The staff in the dining room are excellent and nothing is too much trouble. If you are only having bed and breakfast you must try dinner in the evening just once or you are missing out on something special. We would definitely stay here again

Room Tip: Choose a room with a sea view. Room 39 had a lovely view and was a very quiet room.

Really enjoyed our stay at the mount hotel. Rooms are a little dated but are clean and sea view was great. Staff are friendly and food is good. The bar is a little quiet on a night and there is no entertainment. Overall a nice place though. Four stars from us.

This is a good hotel in Scarborough.

Clean, helpful, well positioned and excellent food.

Our children were made welcome. The breakfast is full service and a delight in a lovely dining room with views over the bay. The bar area is pleasant and friendly without charging outrageous prices.

If I had to be picky, the bedrooms were a little dated and I've slept in more comfortable beds.

We would stay again.

Stayed overnight in august.

Good position. Clean and friendly, Excellent views. Nice and plentiful breakfast.

On the downside, the decor is a little tired (although the dining room is lovely), the corridors are tight and parking is a nightmare in the town centre.

Have paid more to stay in worse hotels and stayed in better for less, however certainly would not put anybody off staying here.
