This is our 3rd Shearings holiday (St.George-Harrogate+Glenburn-Rothesay) and we were not disappointed. We have just returned from a 3 night (Fri. to Mon.) superb stay at the Norbreck hotel Scarborough. The very impressive building is situated on the prominent site (beside the castle) overlooking the bay. Our first impression as we entered the (hotel) foyer-was of cleaniless... Greeted by Trish-duty manager, she immediately put us at ease by her friendly and welcoming manner. Our room 103 (and all others like it) was kept clean and tidy (by the staff) by our efficient housekeeping lady-Dawn. To Louise-general manager, accept our thanks, and convey our gratitude to the dining room staff, and to Darius our waiter, and especially to chef Kevin for well prepaired/presented and satisfying meals. All in all, a most enjoyable (and value for money) stay. Jim+Isobel Barr. Bellshill. Scotland.
