Quality of food is much improved ever since the refurbishment, for sure! The main courses has an excellent choice- especially for me as a coeliac, too! The only thing that lets it down is the sweets- they are obviously brought in sweets- not made on the premises- not a good choice for coeliacs either plus the choice that is there on the gluten free range is not that exciting! Do not like my pavlova to have a white chalky meringue- like it to be caramelised, crunchy on the outside yet slightly chewy soft in the inside plus a lovely golden colour to it not brilliant white as theirs are! So when dine there just have the mains dish then pass on the sweets! The new refurbished area is very well done plus super cosy looking. Sad that on a super bitterly cold day - day when it was snowing- their log fire was not burning! Service was very good! Reasonably priced, too. Just please make your own desserts and bring them up to the same level as the main courses!!
