We enjoyed our recent meal at La Rosetta. We used to be regulars but standards had declined over the years. The present owners are trying to lift it again and in some ways they have succeeded judging by our latest experience. I would have rated the restaurant "very good" on the basis of food and service but sadly the restaurant still looks very dated with the decor having remained unchanged for at least 15 years. As the restaurant was empty we used a table for 4 (tables for 2 being quite small) but no attempt was made to remove the other place settings; which always gives a poor impression. However all the food was freshly prepared with no ringing of microwave bells.Overall it was a pleasant experience. Pasta dishes are around £9 and main courses around £13.
