My wife and I stayed here aftyer being told about it on holiday last year, we found this hotel excactly how it is described in the brochure. Its all down to personal choice however we found this hotel really good, the room we booked over looked the sea and was very bright, clean and found to be the same each day after being cleaned. Some nice little touches when we arrived were te flowers and chocolates in the room. The room was nice and quiet. The breckfasts each day were good, varied, onlt one day my wife had an omellet which could have been cooked better, but apart from this a wide choice in the mornings, eveing meals (6 course) again had a wide choice, desserts were very good and they were from a sweet trolley!! excellant. The service by the dinning room staff was professional, mulit workforce but thye were all very good. I might just say that the front desk staff good have been a bit more professional in their approach to customers. We only got asked if evrything was okay on the day we left.
This hotel was, yes mostly full with retired people, but so what they were well mannered, well dressed and were quiet. What more do you want.
Sidmouth itself is a very nice place without the usual shops we find in all of the high streets and walk around this area is also very good
Book a Sea view, but they only have double beds.Also book centrally and not directly with the hotel...

With regards to your comment about our sea view rooms only having double beds, I can confirm that the majority of them are convertibles and can be booked as a twin or double directly with the Hotel.
It is always worth contacting the Hotel to check for any special offers or our Central Reservations Office in Barnstaple.
