Owner description: The Radway opened in 1928 and was planned to operate primarily as a theatre. As a live theatre it quickly failed and was soon altered to better accommodate cinema use.Whilst the building enjoyed a very thorough refurbishment in 1999 care was taken to do this as sympathetically as possible in order to retain its early 30’s charm.Digital Projection, 3D and Sound was recently been added.

“Love it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2013

When holidaying in Sidmouth, we were telling a young lad in our local Spar, "we went to the cinema here last night", he replied: "what, the Radway? Its a bit retro isn't it?" But that's just the point! Its Brilliant. You can take a small tray of coffee into the back seat upstairs and there is a small table at the side of you to put it on! You don't get that is in your Multiscreens! It was about seven pound odd for the expensive seats each, lots of leg room and just love it!

“lovely little cinema”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2013

Sidmouth Cinema is the perfect venue for seeing a film...outweighs the expense, brashness and impersonal feel of the large cinema chains in Exeter. The staff are without fail, friendly and helpful and the balcony seats upstairs with little tables for your tea and coffee are great. Anyone visiting Sidmouth must make make the effort to go and see a film there....a definite recommendation.

“Sidmouths Cinema”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

Very friendly staff and very comfortable little cinema. Lovely balcony with tables for your tea or coffee. Worth paying the extra pound to go upstairs. But downstairs just as comfortable with comfortable seats.

“Fantastic Night Out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

What a fantastic little cinema ! From the time you walk in and are greeted at the desk, to the helpful staff all around. we choose to go upstairs to the balcony and politely told that we could take ours tea etc in with us. You are shown to your seats and for every 2 seats you even get a small table , fantastic.
The place has all the old charm of the building and was a pleasure to visit after visits to a "multiplex" cinema
