“Worth the walk!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 27, 2010

Warm welcome, clean & comfortable room, good night's sleep - what more could one want after a long day's walk. But best of all was the breakfast - all tastes deliciously catered for. We chose the smoked haddock and continental options which more than set us up for the next day's hike to Exmouth. Good value.

Barry and Jennifer made me feel welcome, right from the last minute booking and then the provision of off street parking to the fantastic room and a Full English breakfast to die for. Shame I had to go running that morning otherwise I could have settled on the sofa for the day. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Tyrone over the August Bank Holiday weekend. The room and ensuite were very clean and well presented there was a good variety of hot drink making items and biscuits

The breakfast choice was amazing we had smoked salmon with scrambled egg on two days and the full English on the other two. Both were served freshly cooked and plentiful

Jennifer and Barry were very friendly and made us feel very welcome, the perfect hosts.

The location was excellent for us as we wanted to stay somewhere peaceful but not too far from the Town Centre or the Seafront which were both within pleasant walking distance along a riverside path through a park
There was the added bonus of off road parking and free internet access

I would certainly recommend Tyrone to my friends and family.

We stayed in the family room for 2 nights, it was very clean and spacious and the beds were comfortable. Fresh milk was provided in mini thermos flasks together with biscuits and assorted teas, coffee and milk drinks. The b&b was within walking distance of Sidmouth and it was a pleasant walk by the water. There was a lot of choice for breakfast which was ordered the night before. My daughter had forgotten to bring her laptop and one was lent to her which was very thoughtful. We were given advice on the local attractions including how to get to the park and ride as we wanted to visit Exeter city.
We would certainly recommend this establishment to others and we hope to return again as it offered excellent value for money in a quiet location.

Excellent one week stay. Very clean, meticulous b. and b., extremely comfortable in every way. Friendly but unobtrusive welcome and support. Convenient for beautiful 10-15 minute walk into town through glorious parkland. Fantastic range of choices for breakfast - we especailly loved the fresh fruit salad, and scrambled eggs and salmon!
Very enjoyable stay and we have already booked our room for one week next year! Thank you for a lovely week.
