Suited our purposes for being close to the airport. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Felt the decor was well worn and in need of modernising, mattress was very soft and not all the lights in the room worked

Sorry you found the bed to be uncomfortable as we generally get nothing but praise about these but pleased you found us to be well located for your needs

We planned to stay here as it was a short distance to the place we were eating at that night. We found the room very small... A double bed with a wardrobe! There was noise outside the room and banging from fire doors!
We would not recommend this is you want a lovely evening and a good nights sleep,

I fully accept that our standard rooms a compact but offer excellent value for money.

We do have superior rooms that have a much larger footprint and only carry a very small price difference and would recommend you opt for one of these in the future

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Spent the night listening to traffic, doors banging, people having sex, talking, and the fire escape door constantly banging where people were going outside to smoke. Paper thin walls. Terrible uncomfortable bed. I will never come here here again in my life.

Very much regret the experience you had but do not beleive this to be typical of general visits.

Even in our own homes we can often be disturbed by extenal traffic and other noise but do accept December weekends can be a little bit raucous but assure you and others that this is generally not the case.

We stayed overnight at this hotel as a start to our holiday. We found the room ok but there was no heating in the bathroom and there was damp and mould on the bathroom ceiling. As part of our overnight stay we were promised a bottle of wine if we had our evening meal. The meal was really small and expensive and we only got a small glass of wine. We decided not to spend £15.00 on the breakfast. The receptionist was very helpful however when we went to pick up our car Keys we were given the keys to a BMW. ours was a vauxhaul. Nearly all the staff were foreign and we found it difficult to understand what they were saying. needless to say we will not be going back.

Room Tip: dont bother. Choose another hotel

Firstly I am sorry that you felt your deal was not value for money but perhaps you have failed to take into account the fact that your deal included airport transfers and upto 14 days free parking.

As the majority of bathrooms are internal heating is generally not an issue but regret the fact that you may have found yours to be cold.

Not sure where the £15 for breakfast came from as this is much higher than or standard price let alone deals that can be purchased in advance or on arrival

we stayed over at this hotel on 2/12/13 prior to flying from manchester airport the following day.As a party of 3 we were allocated the Ashley family room which proved to be more than adequate for our needs. The room was spotlessly clean and big enough for our party, the only downside was that the room is located down 2 flights of stairs without the use of elevators. The hotel serves breakfast at an extra charge but it is nicely presented and much better than airport or airline food.Of great benefit is the included taxi transfers to and from the airport this was extremely efficiently carried out by the taxi company. We all enjoyed the fact the hotel is close to all local amenities and we will certainly stay here again

I stayed here with my mum and sister on a hotel deal for 2 nights including a three course meal, half bottle of wine each and breakfast each morning. This is my second visit and again exceeded expectations!
I have to say the food was AMAZING!!!! Especially given how cheap the deal was!! The staff were also very lovely and always on hand to help! The only thing I would say was that my sister burnt her entire forearm on the self service breakfast bar on the lower piece of metal (which just looked like the side) as unfortunately there were no warning signs out etc and we would never have known, but am thankful it wasnt a small child who leant on it!! Other than this everything was good, rooms lovely and two very peaceful nights sleep!! :-) would defo return but only on a deal as I am a bargain hunter!!

Thanks for taking the time to write with your praise of the hotel which is very encouraging.

Regret the small accident and take up your suggestion of a warning sign by the breakast hot-plate

Myself and friends stayed at this hotel as part of a xmas shopping trip coach package. Prices are kept low and the hotels do a deal providing rooms that otherwise would remain empty, to coach trip operators, in this case 'Leisuretime'. We have travelled with this company for four years.
The hotels rooms were suitable for purpose, breakfast was really good, bar staff really friendly i.e.'Jake'!!
Shame about the main man- the manager!! I found him rude, arrogant and very unreasonable-poor staff!! We were entitled to an evening meal as part of our package,we required a table for 6 or two tables to make up that number. He told us no, split up and find a space on everyone elses tables. We refused and were told, 'you are not paying customers' doh did we pay Leisuretime-yes we did, would his rooms have been empty if we were not there, yes they would!!! We would not budge and we agreed to eat in the bar where we could all sit together! Everyones meal came but mine, I waited ages when finally a very caring bar man (jake)went to the kitchen and asked where the meal was, along with my friend!! By then, most of my friends had finished. I have to say the meal was NOT worth waiting for, neither was the desert, which was on time!! John ( the manager) could have easily just said, 'ladies if you are prepared to wait a little while, we will have a table for you and yes we wouldnt want to ruin your xmas get together by separating you'!! or 'I will not inflict each of you on unsuspecting fellow travellers' who were enjoying their own friendships!! So John, as one manager to another, get yourself some 'customer service' training, how much people pay doesnt matter, what they say on trip advisor does!! Humbug!!!
I would just like to add, we entered the hotel at the rear (coach parties only I think) and there were no lifts, so had to carry luggage upstairs alone, so anyone with disabilities, beware !!! Rooms were overly warm and breakfast was lovely!!
On ending, I would just like to say thank you Jake, it was a pleasure meeting you and thank you for caring when I didnt get my meal!! To John - I have a list of good training providers??

I fully accept that it does not matter how a customer books all or clients deserve good hospitable service and regret you do not feel this to be the case particularly relating to dinner service. I do however in this instance think there are 2 sides to ethe story and clients do have to take responsibility for their own actions like being over 20 minutes late for a table reservation and making changes to food items ordered all of these things end up causing disruption to service ending with delays which are then percived as bad service.
It does appear that you enjoyed most aspects of the hotel and your trip and thanks for highlighting Jake as a provider of good service but apologise for dinner not being the experience you expected.
