We stayed at the Loch Kinord during an October trip to Scotland. We chose the hotel for the location (close to a nearby village where we were attending a wedding party) and we thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay. The inn has a warm, "homey" feel to it, and the inn keeper was always around to make us feel welcome. The first evening that we arrived around sunset and we were starving. After walking to the nearby loch to take some pictures of the beautiful sunset, we returned for dinner. With no car of our own and few options nearby, we chose to dine in the inn that evening. The menu was small, but fancy. The food was decent, but a bit more expensive than we expected. We asked our server for bread and she brought us each one piece.
Our room was clean and cozy. The bed wasn't the most comfortable one of the trip, but it wasn't bad. It was chilly during that time of year and we made use of the separate heating units in the bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom was a decent size, though some additional room/shelves for toiletries would have been nice. My husband used the unique built-in clothing press to iron his pants.
The Loch Kinord is a sweet place nestled in beautiful countryside. Visit nearby Burn o' Vat for a nice hike and stunning views. We enjoyed our visit and would stay here again.
