The place is charming as is the staffs.

Everything gives a family impression … even the food ! Therefore my disappointment: I was expecting something more than average cooking quality (heavy, meat overcooked, no creativity).

The place is a good stay to discover the nature in this amazing region but don’t expect gastronomy!

We vistied the Darroch Learg in July 2007. Our expreience was delightful. The staff was friendly, the accommodations were excellent and the food was delicious. Whether relaxing in the lounge or eating in the dining room, we felt as though we could staylonger than the 2 days we booked. The location is handy for sightseeing. We enjoyed our after dinner in front of the fire, which was a pleasant touch and we relaxed in the comfortable chairs in the lounge.

The hotel doesn't look so great from the outside but there is a really comfortable atmosphere inside. All the staff were friendly, helpful and made us feel very relaxed. We had one of the larger rooms and the views out to the mountains were spectacular. I could have stayed for weeks! The food was outstanding - an excellent selection, and beautifully cooked. The taster menu was very enjoyable. I would definately go back.

We had a good stay here.... the food is really excellent, the rooms have been recently updated and were smart in a traditional way. It doesn't look fantastic from the outside but the views from our room were great...... would recommend....
