I agree with the previous poster that Premier are among the most consistently good budget chains in the UK. I chose this one for my stop-over as I like a nice pub meal to end a day of driving rather than having to rely on a RoadChef or similar at a service station, and so this location fit the bill.
Room had all I needed, (and looked exactly like the one pictured in the previous review). No noise problem for me, as the motorway is a fair distance away and I only had the window open a little. (Maybe on still summer nights the sounds carries further?)
A fair point in the previous review that in the heat of summer it might be a bit uncomfortable due to lack of any Air Conditioning (it has a heater, but no A/C), although for this money and this location, I would have been very surprised if it had indeed had A/C. (Frankly, really hot waeather in this part of the UK is still pretty rare and so few hotels in this area would be equipped with A/C to cope. Getting a fan is about all one might hope for, and indeed this is what the former reviewer was able to get from them.
So in summary, this was another nice little hotel from Premier. I will continue to use this chain for future one-night stopovers as I have not had a bad night in one yet, and that counts for a lot with me.
