“Disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

Writing this review on behalf of my wife who was part of a table of 11 who booked on a busy Saturday evening. This place is very small in comparison to other Italian restaurants in Carlisle but seem to cope well. Having specifically asked for a downstairs table they were seated upstairs with another large party of 25 which made the noise unpleasant to say the least. The quality of food during "Happy Hour" was noted as average and the full party was seriously glad to leave. There was no background music upstairs which then just allowed the noise to make them wish that they had booked somewhere else. The bill however came to a very reasonable £137 with 2 drinks each. They would however pay more next time to ensure the comfort factor is guaranteed and not left to chance.

“Great service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 26, 2013 via mobile

Very friendly, helpful, obliging staff. A little dated inside -the very large peppermill says it all. Very popular with the locals. It was busy with the local lunch crowd by midday.
Very nice pizza bases.

“The proof is in the pudding”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 21, 2013 via mobile

Being a die hard trip adviser addict we were gutted that we couldn't get into a higher rated eatery. This little Italian gem is proof that we should not always just follow the crowd. Lovely food great customer service. Keep it up.

“Cosy little Italian”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013 via mobile

Haven't been here for years. Recently went with a friend on a Saturday night. The atmosphere is cosy, it is right in the city centre. Good menu and they do have a Happy Hour. We were well looked after, food was good and hot. Reasonably priced

“First visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013 via mobile

Staff were very welcoming, once we were seated (crammed in a corner) and given menus had to wait nearly 20mins before our orders were taken drink order included (only 8 other people in the restaraunt most of which were eating meals). Had to ask waitress more than once for more drinks, food was fantastic atmosphere was a bit bleak (possibly just time of day) the decor in here is very authentic. This isn't really a resteraunt I could imagine visiting with small children as the seating downstairs is very cramped.
