“Stunning Peaceful Gardens”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2013

Take time and stroll round the beautifully kept gardens and take in the peaceful scenes and scents. The lakes set off the central theme very well and all the other small gardens around are quite beautiful. Make sure that you have ample space in the car for plants as the garden centre is brilliantly laid out with unusual specimens that are very reasonably priced. And have lunch or tea as well.

“Peaceful mature gardens”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 9, 2013

We enjoyed our walk around these all year round attractive mature gardens but felt it was rather expensive for the time it took to explore if you are not a "serious" gardener.

You can buy miniature plants grown in the nursery to take home - they are displayed according to the growing conditions needed which is a great help to the inexperienced.

“Nice to visit but a bit pricey for such small gardens.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 1, 2013

In Colchester from Australia we visited these gardens. A bit of a pricey entrance fee for what it was but nice enough if you are then wandering in their nursery, buying plants and having a Coffee. You could then make a nice morning of it. Just looking at the gardens ( the bit you pay for) takes about half to three quarters of an hour. Relaxing and pretty. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

“Lovely peaceful walk”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

We struggled to push a wheelchair round the gardens but found them lovely. The cafe felt a bit like a works' canteen though.

“Lovely Garden In Essex”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 31, 2013

Design of the garden excellent. Everything well set out and looked after to a high standard.
The staff very helpful and a lovely little café serving good value food and drinks.
A good range of plants in the nursery, you won't go home without one.
