We only had one night at Beeston Lodge Hotel. It was a Sunday night, so it wasnt as busy as probabaly a Fri or Sat. But we were welcomed by Lorraine & Nev, never met them in our lives, but they were just like old friends. We were taken to our room, which was a lovely room, tea & coffee on tray with kettle. Also our own en suite, which was good as hubby was on crutches. We went out for a while, and on our return Nev was in the bar. So we had a couple of drinks with him. Then we went up to our room, just to watch bit of telly and a little lay down. The plan was to go back down to bar for more drinks with Nev, the joker lol. Well we fell asleep and I found the bed so comfy, I didnt wake up til 12.30am!! I couldnt believe it, so we missed the bar. Anyway after sleeping the rest of the night, we got up for breakfast, lovely, food wasnt just plonked in front of you. Nev asked what we would like. We both had full English. It was lovely and filling, there was also cereal and juice. We were even asked if we wanted seconds! We then went up to our room to get ready to leave, there was no rush to get us out, which was great (probably different when reallly busy). We then sat in bar with Nev & Lorraine and couple of locals. Chatting and laughing, like old friends. Nobby the dog even joined us. All in all, although ours was a very short stay, we were made to feel so welcome. Nev & Lorrraine are such nice people. Nev with lots of stories to tell, well both really, lol. Watch out for the book. We are hoping to get back to see them soon, and maybe share a bit of karaoke. Thanks again, Steve & Shirley
