“Fun and informative cookery class”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

We recently decided to go and do something different and so enrolled in a Wednesday evening cookery class at Stamford Cookery School.
The course we chose was French Cookery and was 3 hours long. We arrived to find that there was only 2 other people on the course, but that actually worked out well for us as you get more tuition from the tutor/chef, which on this occasion was owner Thierry Daugeron.
We cooked 3 dishes in the evening and were able to take them home to eat after - they were all lovely.
The school itself is very nice inside, very well organised and really easy to get around but also hear what you are being told by your tutor.
Wine was available (or a soft drink) to drink whilst cooking - which was a winner for both couples!!
We had a really enjoyable evening and will be going back to a different course over the next few months - if you are looking for an interesting present for a foodie, i'd really recommend it!
Oh and don't miss Thierry's restaurant/wine bar at the Riverside (used to be the nightclub) we called into the newly opened wine bar last weekend - very nice!! links to the school and restaurant can be found here: http://www.thierrydaugeron.co.uk/

“Perfect combination of fun and learning. Highly recommend!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

Myself and my partner came here in May and did the 'French Cooking with Foie Gras'. It was with the owner and chef Thierry Daugeron, who owns a restaurant that has just opened up in Stamford. The course cost us £30 each and last about 3 hours.

Firstly, the value was phenomenal. The foie gras alone cost in the region of £25. We each made a terrine, a wellington of sorts and filo parcels. The ingredients used were all of very good quality. We also got to have some fairly expensive wine as we were cooking too. Bring lots of tubs, you get to take everything you make home with you. The creations were absolutely delicious. We were a bit sceptical about foie gras to begin with, but we were won over by taste.

Thierry was the perfect teacher and perfect host. A very professional chef and was obviously passionate about cooking.

The kitchen was in immaculate condition and stocked with everything you'd need.
