This is a lovely B&B the host Elaine is very nice she made us feel very welcome with her homemade cakes! The house is well kept and very clean and has stunning views. We stayed for the Bank holiday in the Clydesdale room which is a lovely room with nice separate private bathroom (roll top bath -no shower, only jug to rinse hair- could be a problem for long hair) on a little landing area where there is also a fridge with fresh milk and chilled water and Elaine left us cream cake in there too which was lovely and the next day on our hospitality tray was flapjack this was a nice treat. There is also another landing area to sit and enjoy as well as use of main sitting room which has stunning views of fields with sheep grazing.
The first morning we were woken at 6am by the sheep bleating as they were quite noisy and very close to the house but the second morning they were not as noisy or we had got used to them...but we love the countryside so this added to our experience of country life! The breakfasts were fantastic lots of choice on the menu fresh fruit etc. Lots of places to eat in Stamford but some places stop food on Sun afternoons so less places for sun evening meals! We are members of English Heritage and National Trust and there are lots of historical places to visit in this area. We loved our stay here and would recommend staying here and maybe we will be visiting again too!! Big thank you to Elaine! :-)
