..... The bathroom was dirty. "Hair" of some sort on the shower curtain (did not want to get too close to find out of which sort!!!). An earring behind the bathroom door so not swept properly.
WARNING if you have breakfast at the Toby Carvery next door DO NOT have a cup of tea to go with it because they'll charge £1.99 as they class it as unlimited!!! Total rip off

Booked a room here to break up a long drive and for £21, really couldn't fault it. In fact, I'm doing the same drive again this month and have just booked again. Although the room was a little tired, it was clean and I had a fine comfortable sleep. The Toby Carvery next door was great for a pint when we arrived and then again in the morning for an all you can eat cooked breakfast (£3.99).

I stayed here for two nights whilst in Birmingham for a family wedding.

I know this hotel is a 'budget' hotel and we really did get it at a good price, but it was still poor.

When we arrived check in was slow. We were left to wait in reception while our room was checked to make sure it was ready. When we got to our room we found the bathroom hadn't been cleaned, the toilet hadn't even been flushed! We complained about this and someone was sent up to clean it, no apology, and the guy spent all of 3 minutes cleaning it. We then had to request more toilet roll, apparantly there was a shortage as they were waiting for a delivery, surely these are basic things????

The room was fine, comfy bed, tea/coffee etc.

The hotel is situated within walking distance of many shops and places to eat. There is a Harvester next door but we chose to eat in the pub a few minutes away.

Overall staff were friendly and we got what we paid for.

This hotel was booked as an overnight stop in order to break the journey from scotland to dorset .As the hotel was booked in advance for £10 i was not expecting too much, however the room was faultless in every aspect the staff were helpful and polite, we also had lovely meal in the adjacent toby carvery. All in all this was perfect for our needs including great parking, will certainly use again.

Room Tip: avoid rooms in main building if possible

Visited Birmingham on business, stayed at this hotel for a week could not fault it. The staff and managers are very well trained.
the room was just right, i was also offered upgrades on a daily basis,
The location is very close to motorways and the city. 2 very good restaurants on the door step too. the toby carvery and Suriya Indian both were both delightful to dine in.
We will not hesitate to stay at this hotel in future.

I read all reviews on this hotel and was panicking as I have 3 days here. What's with all the negative reviews because I see no mould and the rooms are modern and comfortable although a little small but after all im not booking a Hilton. Receptionist Sarah was very helpful also. Don't read the hype this hotel is clean and comfortable and peaceful.

We stayed here overnight on Saturday Sept 29th the nearest place to the venue for a family party, we took 3 rooms- 218, 219 and 119.Sheets and towels were clean but I never slept a wink, the bed was VERY uncomfortable and CREEKY, I have never had such a bad night in a hotel....ever!!! I know we are not paying much but the rooms certainly leave a lot to be desired. The 3 rooms we had were all very poorly decorated, not very clean and with the curtain hanging off the rails. In room 119, the room and bedding all smelt of stale smoke....not very pleasant! We have stayed here in the past, 2 or 3 times and it was never like this! We will be finding alternative accommodation on our next trip to the Midlands.
