This Inn is actually in Slough Green or Higher West Hatch. It is in a very pretty locale with tight little winding lanes to be traversed to arrive here. I was worried sick we would meet a car coming from the opposite direction and would have to back up quarter of a mile to a passing spot, but thankfully this didn't happen. The pub has been refurbished and it really is very charming. We stayed in the Quantock Room and it was wonderful. It had a huge bathroom with an equally spacious bath that just begged to be luxuriated in. The room also came with a separate TV area. We dined in the restaurant that night and the food was great - breakfast the next morning was equally as great and very filling. The hosts were warm and welcoming and all in all our stay was a very pleasurable experience.

We stayed here for one night and were extremely pleased with all aspects of our stay. We remember this place when it was the Farmers Arms - a pub with pub grub and live music. It couldn't be more different if it tried. It now serves excellent restaurant level food with the most delicious cheesecake we've had. The prices are very reasonable and the service attentive.

The room was gorgeous and huge. It was set over two levels, with it's own private patio area (although it was too chilly to enjoy this). The bathroom is very clean, warm and has a lovely shower over the freestanding bath. The bed was big and warm with lots of cushions, and the complete silence at night is perfect for any light sleepers.

Breakfast was lovely with a range of hot offerings as well as the usual cereals (lovely museli) and toast/pastries.
