“Fantastic”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 17, 2013

This is a new ish Indian restaurant in town. I heard the Owner talking with Emma Britton on BBC Somerset saying he didn't use any artificial colourings or additives, which made me want to find out which restaurant he owned. I first tried it with a take away it was a great meal.
Then ate there last week. The staff were very helpful, suggesting which dish would be mild enough for my mum who cannot eat spicy food & me with my veggie option. The food was yummy too. A lovely stylish restaurant with comfy seats for those that don't like hard seating, like my mum. Boothed seating option for more privacy as well as normally seating too.
I'd of marked it excellent, if it had more veggie choices, but what i was recommended was delicious

“Better than a London Mitchellin star Indian I had been too. Excellent meal and service.”

Have been to a few highly rated Indians and this is the second best I have been to. Excellent food hot and spicy with the subtle flavours of South Indian food. Excellent service with fantastic food.

“Amazing lunch food at really good value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 8, 2013

Went for thali at lunchtime which was fantastic value. Main curry, potato dish, yogurt, chutney, dhal, rice, nan and popadums for £5.95. Amazing value, speedy service and a thoroughly fab lunch. Felt wee bit dark inside resturant during daytime but would rate this resturant and will definitely go back especially with friends and/or family

“Without doubt best place for food in Taunton.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013 via mobile

Having eaten in most restaurants in Taunton,Bridgwater and the surrounding areas I would say Mint and Mustard is in the top three all round. Slightly more expensive than your average Indian but this is not your average Indian. It's a fine dining restaurant that happens to serve Indian food. This is not the place for you if you are expecting a standard fare of Indian food with all the usual available.
We had a full three course meal which was amazing, never have dessert at Indian restaurants but the first two courses were so good we shared a dessert platter for afters. Truly amazing food, fairly priced, incredible attention to the presentation and some brilliant menu choices.
My single criticism of the place is that it took a long time from being given dessert menus to even ordering, the dessert however was worth the inconvenience of a lengthy wait. Will not be going to any other Indian restaurant from now.
