I have been to this restaurant a few times now. Each time the service has been good and the food has been just gorgeous.

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

Every meal I have had in this restaurant has been superb. A great restaurant to entertain friends and family. Front of house always make you feel welcome and couldn't do enough to make sure you enjoy your lunch/evening. A truly excellent experience. Chef's obviously have exceptional talent to cook unpretentious meals with a contemporary flavour. Choices are always varied and seasonal.

“amazing france in Devon”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

I have been to this restaurant twice and both times have been blown away by the quality of the food. I had venison the first time that was superlative. Each course is delivered with panache. Will definitely use again.

“wonderful small place!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

Taken here by family - wonderful, top-class (French-ish) cuisine. Separate vegetarian menu - unusual, and much appreciated! I had fabulous smoked eel on scrambled egg, followed by duck and mixed vegetables - we all really enjoyed our meals. Pushed the boat out a bit on the wine - but well worth it. We'll be here again the next time we're in Taunton.

“Excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2013 via mobile

Stumbled on this place by chance whilst looking online for somewhere to eat.

Being a major foodie with high expectations everytime i go out to eat, we were not disapointed.

The restaurant although very small... 9 tables served high end dishes with style and to perfection.

My lady and i had what we thought was some of the best food in the area, and the service was excellent by the 2 chaps who were constantly checking everything was ok, and if there was anything else we needed.

When we got there we were asked if we minded sitting by the door as they were waiting for the table we had booked to leave, and when it was ready we were asked if we wanted to love but to be honest we were more than happy to stay where we were.

Food wise it could not be faulted, the duck was amazing and just fell apart when in stuck my fork into it, and my partners cod fillets on samphire risotto was equally as perfect.

The salami and emmantal bake was an excellent choice of starter as was the pannacotta to finish.

This is somewhere we will definitely be coming again.

The only downside is, we are a youngish couple 33 & 34 and a lot of the clientele there were a lot older late 40's + and we got looked at as if they were surprised a younger couple were in there and could afford it. But its not the restaurants fault in anyway and it won't stop us going again.
