“Good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

We were staying in the Premier Inn adjacent to the restaurant and had pre-booked a table for an evening meal for 9 people on the Saturday and breakfast for 5 on Sunday morning.

The restaurant was very busy with several large parties. We were given a friendly welcome, seated promptly and orders for drinks taken without any delay. Our meals once ordered were quickly prepared and served by a team of cheerful, efficient staff. We all agreed that the food was plentiful and good value.

Breakfast the following morning was excellent. There was a large selection of cereals, fruit, yoghurts, juices, fresh croissants etc. plus a full English menu of hot food all pleasantly presented. The good Costa coffee in particular was appreciated by 3 of our party the other 2 preferring tea from proper teapots.. We did not feel hurried by the staff even though the restaurant was getting busy. It was a very nice way to start the day.

“Good Value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 21, 2013

We use this restaurant often, and are very happy with, the meals, which are very good quality at a very good price. The staff are excellent, polite, and genuinely pleasant. The beer is spot on, and the service is very quick. Even at busy times.

They often have offers on and also a loyalty card, which tots up quickly.
We`ve been with friends, and sometimes family, and would definitely recommend it.

“Saturday lunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2013

My friend came up from Coventry and we decided on the Rhubarb Triangle for lunch. I have been before and was impressed on that occasion so thought he would like it. We weren't disappointed... I had quiche (very tasty) with plenty of salad and chips and my friend had the gammon and he commented that it had been a long time since he had tasted gammon as tasty and tender. It was a warm day so we took the opportunity of eating al fresco. The staff were very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and that added to the 'feel good factor' of our visit. Would we go again? Certainly
