All too short but lovely trip from Poole Quay to the island. If you're not a National Trust member be prepared to pay a landing fee on arrival, but it's well worth it. It's a beautiful island with a surprising diversity of topography given its small size. Plenty of wild life to observe if you're sharp enough to spot it - take your binoculars we forgot ours! We had a lovely walk right round the outside of the island, there are some fantastic view points that will give you some cracking photos to remember the place with. We were there for about 3 1/2 hours on a lovely day and it wasn't a minute too long. Had the spiced bean stew in the restaurant - delicious. Trip back to Poole a much longer journey right round the island with an entertaining commentary on the fauna, flora and history of all the islands in the bay, Well worth a visit for NT and non NT members alike.
