“Great Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

I'll keep this quite short,

the hotel is in a good location with a short walk down to the sea or to Loch Fyne.

The staff are very friendly and attentive, nothing seemed to be a issue.

The bed was quite springy, but the pillows were good.

the shower and jacuzzi bath were very nice (room 212)

the room was very cold overnight and even using the air con dial to turn it up to 30c it was still freezing! (obviously wasn't working properly )

the restaurant was very nice with a good atmospehere and selection of drinks, even cocktails were on the menu.

there was even a female singer.

one downside was a lady collapsing on the floor after drinking far too much (evening of 23rd feb). she was quickly dispatched by staff and her other half...

overall a good experience and will stay there again.

Furthermore I can recommend going to the Haven about half a mile away to use the spa facilities etc.

we stayed here last week for three nights fantastic rooms great views the service was first class on arriving we were showed to our room which was on the third floor so the porter took our cases etc. by the time we got up to the room ( lift was out of order) or we were both gasping for breath so we asked if the hotel was full he said to ring the reception which we did buy the time i did they were all ready making arrangments to move us. Which they did and wow what a room fantastic views lovely big bed everything there you would want. Breakfast was first class they even brought you the toast great (no horrible toasters) evening meals were good but we were there for three nights and dissapointed that the menu didnt change which is not usual for a four star hotel would certainly stay here again

Room Tip: rooms on 2nd floor overlooking harbour great views

Thank you for your comments sliverbird97. We're sorry the lift wasn't working when you stayed with us, but it looks like we sorted you out with another room. I'll pass your comments onto the management team about the menu not changing.

Last Wednesda y we had the pleasure of an overnight stay at Harbour Heights courtesy
of an internet offer of £69 per couple room, dinner, bed and breakfast and a bottle of
wine in the room on arrival. We have to say that everything from the time of arrival to departure was absolutely first class especially the dinner and breakfast. The room was very nice with
a view over the bay. We take advantage of these offered breaks fairly regularly
and this one far surpassed our previous experiences. Ian Laming and Mavis Guest.

We stayed here a few years ago and have just had the same great experience! We ve also stayed at the other FJB hotels in Sandbanks and all are recommended. We arrived and it was a very busy Sunday afternoon due to the lovely weather. The receptionist was being quite curt with the person in front of us who was making an enquiry. She was efficient but not overly friendly with us, however the next day she was fine. The rooms were clean and very warm with a great little balcony and fabulous view. The set menu in the evening was fantastic - the food faultless and the staff friendly and helpful.
We had a great stay and would thoroughly recommend it!

Room Tip: Always go for one with a view

Quite often go here for a pint in the summer, cannot fault the view whilst sitting outside in the sunshine drinking a cold pint of Guinness..perfection. Downside is some of the 'hooray Henrys' that often frequent the place, but that's a problem anywhere that has money. Give it a try..you wont be disappointed.

Room Tip: Have no idea.

Please book yourself here! We arrived last miniute, got a great price, where I would have been convinced to pay double as well.
We got a room with a coastal view and jacuzzi, no extra price. The flatscreen was big, the whole room was nicely decorated and spacious, looked like new. Two basins in the bathroom. The breakfast was continental, with options to English breakfast, and the whole area had windows to the seafront. What else can you ask for? Oh an it has a restaurant we didn't have time to try. If you can, be sure to enjoy Spa in the Haven hotel, just a few minutes away. Just go!

Had a harbour view room which was huge and supremely comfortable. Excellent evening meal, such a pleasure to sit at tables a proper distance from each other instead of being on top of the next couple. Great atmosphere and service. The only glitch was inheriting someone else's bar bill on checkout which was rather slapdash on their part. Highly recommended.
