“Dream of Monaco”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013

We have eaten at this eaterie on several occasions. Its setting is second to none in Poole, overlookng the harbour gazing down on an array of sea craft. You dont just come for the food its also the view. If you want a window table then you must book, during the day on the terrace its first come first served. On a sunny warm day there is always a queue for a table.

The restaurant has a terrace, inside seating, a few tables by the bar, and an additional seating by excellant gas fire.

We found the food very good, the portions are generouse, the service is fast and efficient. All this is held together by a very friendly and entertaining Manager who seems to know and remember all guests.

On certain days at certain hours you can get 2 main courses for the price of one.

Highly recommended are the pork spare ribs, some of the best I've eaten, try them with a side of chunky chips at lunch time.

The pizzas are excellent as is the pasta.

Best of all are the desserts - well if you like proper ice cream, brownies, pancakes and much more, well its all scrummy.

“Great position overlooking Poole harbour.....”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

Visited Banana Wharf recently (Easter) during a weekend break to the New Forest and South coast.
The restaurant is situated on the first floor with big windows overlooking the harbour, lovely position and a real feeling of spaciousness inside. The food was delicious and varied with interesting choices for me as a vegetarian. The service was prompt and friendly without being "over-the-top"!!! Would definitely return for another meal here if in the area again.
