Visited this restaurant on Saturday for lunch. After experiencing the Toby Carvery nearby a week or so earlier we weren’t expecting very much. We were wrong. The whole place has a lovely vibe to it with a great atmosphere. The place was about half full and we found the waiting staff to be very professional and our server Arial from Portugal was really attentive. On the food front we had fajitas which were excellent. I’ve spent time in the US where of course these type of eateries are more common and this compared very well. The food was well cooked, tender, authentic and flavoursome and lots of it with extra dips and wraps if they were needed. In fact the food was so nice I had a pudding which I rarely do – a lovely chocolate brownie with toffee popcorn great. For the two of us the bill came to over £50 with 2 drinks each, 2 courses each and 2 sides (which we didn’t need to be honest) so it’s not the cheapest option around but I can’t wait for the summer to sit outside with a cocktail and some good old Tex Mex and pretend I’m in in Acapulco. You also get a free sombrero if you’re brave enough to wear it. So in sum a great fun place to dine out with well-cooked food and happy, attentive staff. Not cheap (hence 4 not 5 stars) if you go the whole hog and it could be in a nicer location but all in all I’m looking forward to returning.
