“Outstandingly comfortable seats”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 19, 2013

This theatre appears drab from outside, but the comfort of the seating and the excellent viewing is of a remarkably high standard - better than many West End facilities.
If you like the show you have chosen, you will certainly like the auditorium experience.

“Nice theatre needs modernising”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2013

Saw Micky Flanagan at this theatre. He was great. Theatre has lots of charm and potential.
No air con made the theatre so uncomfortable during performance. Service for drinks was slow. Bar man couldn't fit all tonic in cup, instead of larger cup we ended up with gin so strong it was undrinkable and a diet coke so watered down also not enjoyable to drink. Theatre really needs an update...Glad old Micky kept us laughing!

“Nice Venue”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

Visited on 31 May to see the Brand New Heavies, nice theatre, quite a large venue must hold around 1000 this means you get some big acts/shows.

Staff were friendly and helpful, sound was good and the view lines look very good from anywhere in the stalls.

“Good venue”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013

Though it's a decent size there is often a level of intimacy in the performances here, which can really make a gig that little bit extra special.

I don't agree with the people that have said the sound is too loud. I've seen Mumford & Sons and Bellowhead here recently and the sound was great for both, as were the performances.

I've sat practically everywhere in this place and the only bad spot was at the back corner in the circle where I did feel a bit too far out of the action.

The stalls is all seating and sometimes it takes a little while for the audience to get going! But you do feel up close anywhere in this area.
