“Superb dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

After running quite late, we were greeted warmly & shown to our table.
The host ran talked us through the menu with a few personal recommendations. We both found the menu interesting & exciting. We were not rushed into ordering considering our late arrival.
The food is not only interesting it's delicious & as a previous 'tripper' has stated 'the lamb melts in your mouth'. Very clever use of herbs & spices, the 'Kuzu Guvec' is outstanding!
The service is excellent, very friendly & not intrusive.
It's also very reasonably priced.
We will return, congratulations & keep up the good work.

“Spur of the moment visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

My wife, seven year old son and I (at short notice) decided to visit this restaurant for lunch today (Saturday). Arrived at just after 12. Warmly welcomed. Offered table by the window. I am a veggie, however plenty of choices available for me and meat/fish for my wife and son. Opted for two lots of the three course lunchtime menu. Started with the muska boregi (filo pastry filled with feta cheese and spinach) and a falafel, mail courses vegetable Moussaka and a Levrek (sea bass), and desserts Baklava plus Sutlac (delicious rice pudding with cinnamon) plus a mixed ice cream for my son. This was followed by two cups of Turkish tea. Faultless food with friendly and helpful service. We were also given some Turkish holiday literature to look at when we expressed an interest in the country. Total cost (excluding tip) but including a couple of soft drinks approx £30. A good dining experience in pleasant clean surroundings, and living locally we hope to be back there again soon. Understand that it is essential to book for Friday and Saturday evenings. “Delightful Dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013

Warm welcome. Staff did everything they could to explain the menu. Excellent ambiance.
We were given a choice of tables and we were not rushed to make our choice from the extensive menu. The lamb was exquisite, melting in the mouth, divine, the spices were beautiful. The prawns in spicy tomato sauce was delicious. Highly recommended.

“Birthday Bonus”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013

When I booked a table here for the 14 Feb I mentioned that it was my birthday-not just a Valentine's dinner. This was some weeks before the day and my wife and I were delighted to be remembered by the owner when we arrived.
We had the excellent "special" menu, but had been told that the a-la-carte was also available. On a busy night it was a pleasure to be serenaded by the violinist and to have a small chocolate cake with a candle brought to the table.
Apart from our appreciation of the thoughtful and professional service, there is little to add to the other very favourable and well justified reviews of the varied and delicious menu.
We will return!
