We used this restaurant as a takeaway because we believed it to be the best in Ipswich. For a while this was true, but on Monday 12th March, we decided to get a takeaway from here.
What a mistake! Four of us, my wife and two daughters ordered our usual meals and when we got them, they were completely unrecognisable as the food that we usually have.
They were FULL of onion, with little or no sauce. It was as if it was a joke. I almost expected a knock at the door with someone saying "You are on candid camera"
The onion bhajis were stale, like they had been hanging around for a couple of days at least.
We left the food and had lost our apetite by this time.
I called the Dhakar and told them that they must have a new chef. They denied this at first. Then they went on to say that the Head Chef is off for the night and the Tandoori Chef normally takes over, but he was not there either.
They did offer to cook it again for me (YUK) and they said that they don't want to loose me as a customer and would give me a generous discount on my next order.
I don't think I will be going back. I like dependable consistent service and don't have any desire to be part of their experiment into the unknown.
