“Beautiful Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2012

After visiting Le Gatte last year whilst on holiday in Llandudno we were back decided to book again as it proved to be a culinary highlight last time. We certainly weren't disappointed. The duck starter offered from the specials was so tasty and the pork main course from the standard menu really well flavoured. The bread and butter pudding to finish was divine too. If I wasn't so full I could have eaten it all over again! Last time we visited the slow service was the only low point, this time the service was much prompter so a definite improvement. This isn't a place you would come to for the surroundings, it's all about the food which is cooked really well. If I lived closer I'd be here every week!

“Another Splendid Time.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2012

After a mornings shopping in Llandudno we decided to drop in to Le Gatte for a light lunch as it is one of our favourite places.
We were warmly welcomed by a neat and tidy, cheerful and polite waitress. Our order was taken promptly and we sat back in the widow awaiting our fresh cooked "slow food" and watched the world pass by..how very civilised. This was accompanied by our speedily delivered drinks which were life savers.
We enjoyed a Cappuchino,Pomegranite Juice,Mackerel Fillets with Celeriac,Bacon and Chicken Club Sandwich.Generous portions but still leaving room for the Eton Mess and Bread and Butter Pudding with rhubarb and orange curacao.
During a break from cooking Maria the owner popped over to our table to welcome us back and to pass the time of day.
All together a lovely lunch experience.Good food and a friendly ambience. We look forward to returning soon.

“What a discovery!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2012

If you are interested in food -seriously interested- then this is a discovery you cannot afford to miss. We almost did -put off by the location and the unassuming decor. But the quality of the cooking is simply outstanding, with touches of real flair and imagination present in every course. The chef operates in a tiny kitchen which is almost in the restaurant itself, in the best tradition of Spanish chefs, and produces exquisite, sumptuous, subtle food. Be warned: do not miss this!

“Hmmmmm Shame”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2012

Visited here about one month ago. Was just about walk out after waiting 20-30 min before anyone came over to offer a drink even though there was only two other tables of two. Ordered 2x meals. Waiter who was absolutley useless came over 20 min after taking the order to inform us that they didnt have one of the mains I ordered. So I chose something else. After another 30 min the main meals arrived.

To be fair the food was reasonable, but a bit over priced.

The lady ( owner ) was nice but clearly over worked

The staff ( 1x boy) was absolutely useless, no manners, no common sense just lots of hair

Would I visit again. Hmmm no I dont think so. Shame it could be a lot better.

“Best restaurant in Llandudno”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 5, 2012

We were shocked that many average places in Llandudno are rated higher than this place, which is a cut above the rest. We went here recently for dinner and brunch. Short interesting menu, friendly and personable service. We had pigeon to start, followed by fish risotto and duck breast - all delicious. Would definitely recommend this place.
