Seahorse in Llandudno was a little gem. From the friendliness of the staff when making the booking to helping me find a lost earring at the end of the night, it was a lovely experience. The food is of a very high standard, expertly cooked and very well presented. The quality of the food was maybe more surprising than it should have been as the first impressions of the decor (very 1970's complete with fake battery-operated flickering 'candle' tealight!!) had not given us much hope. Buttery soft scallops and turbot and delicately cooked squid and steak were delicious. Cheesecake and a pavlova pudding were big, creamy and sweet, just as pud should be.

Went here on a Saturday evening as we were staying at the empire hotel 50 yards away really enjoyed it food and service were good the only downside was we got the impression of being rushed as if they wanted our table back rushing our lovely sweets and coffee and kept asking if we wanted anything else.The wine list is not great either considering the quality of the food .

We visited the Seahorse in May 2010 as a golfing group who decided to go elsewhere to eat such was the quality of food our hotel offered. As very short notice, The Seahorse was incredibly accomodating and welcoming. First points scored....

On arrival we were met by a very friendly welcome, were shown to a cracking table and for the remainder of our night, were fortunate to benefit from excellent service. The food was simply outstanding and the choice of wine was excellent.

In short, even the most churlish would struggle to find fault with this excellent restaurant. I'd visit Llandudno again just to have a meal at the Seashorse. Try it - you won't be disappointed.

dined here while staying in Llandudno. Called in on chance and they had a free table. The staff were all very helpful and the food was excellent. Lots of fish which we both love , there were meat dishes too. The owner came around all the tables to see if everyone was ok.
