“Really worth going.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2012

We stumbled on this b and b by accident because the premiere inn and travel lodges were booked up one weekend. We have been as a couple twice, and with our 2 year old twins once. Bob and Margaret are extremely welcoming and actually make conversation - none of this zombie business! The rooms are spacious, and all of the furniture in each room matches, and does not look tacky or cheap, and they make an effort with complimentary chocolates on pillows and plenty of tea and coffee available....they even left a small packet of chocolate biscuits in the cots for each of our children. The towels are very big, not like we have experienced at some places, and there are always plenty available, not just the one each. The breakfast is particularly good, I had grapefruit, cranberry juice, green tea, and 4 poached eggs on our last visit, my partner had some grapefruit, some pure orange, a full english - not dripping in fat at all - (the bacon we thought was possibly from a butchers), 2 pieces of toast with marmalade on, and a coffee. There was also yoghurts, prunes, fruit, cereal and even porridge available, a really good selection for breakfast. They also were extremely accommodating with regards to our children at breakfast, and had high chair facilities available. The price of the rooms are very reasonable, we had a bath in the most recent room, and a bottle of wine from the bar and the bill was far lower than what we expected. We will go to the Lansdowne whenever we visit Wales, as we really like it there as it is centrally located to all facilities. Next to a sainsbury's express, lots of restaurants, the sea horse was especially good. Also, only a few minutes from the front.

Room Tip: The larger room was a little more expensive - but well worth it for both the room and the bath.

Met on arrival by Bob who was very informative and efficient. Large family room for 3 of us, which was clean and well appointed - tea / coffee making facilities, flat screen TV, decent shower, clean bathroom and comfortable beds.
Breakfast cooked to order and was delicious, served within a few minutes by courteous staff.
Honesty bar was great for relaxing after a meal out, as we had kids who are not always welcome in some bars at night.
Would thoroughly recommend

This was our first stay at the Lansdowne although we have been to Llandudno many times before. We stayed in a family room which was extremely spacious with a very comfy four poster bed. On arrival we were offered tea/coffee and orange juice for the children in the lounge. The lounge operates an honesty bar which was very reasonably priced. Breakfast was also a great experience, my children asked for beans on toast and a sausage sandwich which although they were not on the menu it wasn't a problem. An advantage for this hotel is the car park as parking is often difficult in Llandudno. A fantastic hotel and we will definately go back.

My wife and i stayed here for the second time, only this time we went for the premium room, which we found very nice and roomy. We found the rooms well equiped and clean and tidy. the breakfast was superb and was freshly cooked to order with fresh coffee on demand.
We will definatly stay here again with its excellent location, quiet but convient, with its own car park which is worth the stay alone.
once again first class :)

Room Tip: book a premium room , no 10 is nice with views of the mountains..

Comfortable very clean, breakfast to die for what's not to like? Only one very very small niggle I would have liked more shelf space in the bathroom for my bits & bobs. All the resturants we tried were excellent special mention to home cooking cafe. Do try and see the seaside special in the town hall the best value show in town £6!

This is our fourth time and every time the experience is brillant.
Margaret and Bob are a wonderful couple can't do enough for you.
The rooms are spacious and spotless and the breakfast is delicious.
The off road parking is a bonus as a lotof places you have to park on road and parking in Llandudno is not very good.

Room Tip: Have been in the standard and superior family rooms for two adults and one child plenty of room in b...

Have been back to the Lansdowne again our second year.

We had a wonderful stay Margaret and Bob could not do enough for us and all their guests.

The lansdowne is now classed as a small hotel and it deserves it's new title. We think it should be higher up the ratings than number 13.

The rooms are spotless and very comfortable, the breakfast were excellent and their staff very attentive and helpful well done toyou all, look forward to seeing you next year.

Room Tip: look on the website if in doubt just call they will only be to pleased to help you.
