We stayed for two nights in June and "oh what a welcome!" A real home-from-home that we couldn't wait to get back to. Nothing was too much trouble for Colin or Deborah and they went out of their way to ensure that our stay was a memorable one. I have mobility and other health problems which Colin and Deborah took into consideration when allocating our room which was exquisite, the bed was really comfortable, as were the two leather chairs with plenty of cushions, the hospitality tray and bathroom toiletries were exceptional, not forgetting the forgotten box. What a brilliant idea! Fluffy white towels and bathrobes plus slippers, what more could we ask for? Thanks Deborah for a great manicure, my hands were lovely and soft and my nails looked gorgeous.
The chocolate, fudge and sweets were to die for and I'm going back if only for them and the delicious cooked breakfast provided courtesy of Colin, that was after we'd partaken of an endless list of cereals, yoghourts and the most glorious fresh fruit salad, toast and a selection of jams and marmalade completed our feast. Another morsel never passed our lips till well into the evening.
A warm, peaceful atmosphere made us believe that we were the only guests there and we were treated like family by Deborah, Colin and their two delightful daughters, Nicol and Katie. Our first visit but certainly not our last. We hope to return again and again and again.

Have just returned from a short break at "The Hillary". This guesthouse is conveniently situated on a quiet residential road, a few minutes walk on level ground from the main shopping/entertainment area at Llandudno. Off-road parking for several cars is available.
The welcome is warm, with the bedroom both comfortable and spotlessly clean - digital TV and tea/coffee facility are provided, plus other thoughtful little extras. The en-suite shower-room has complimentary toiletries and a good supply of towels.
A wide variety of books is available for guests to read and wireless internet access is also offered.
An excellent breakfast in the morning gives a great start to the day exploring local attractions.
We shall return!.

My wife and I have stayed at this guesthouse before, and that was about 12 months ago. Our daughter usually does the trip and takes us to stay at the Hilary, as we have no transport of our own, as we are both disabled and cannot drive. This time on the 10th June 2008 we arrived at approx. 5.15pm.
We rang the bell and Colin came out with a smile, as usual, picked up the two suitcases and showed us to our room.
At breakfast there is always a warm and welcoming smile from Deborah as she takes our orders, and nothing seems too much trouble for her or Colin. Their daughter Katie aged nearly four, sometimes comes into the breakfast room and it is nice to talk to her.
When we need advice on where to eat out at night their knowledge has been spot on, and we haven,t had a bad meal at any of their recomendations.
The cleanliness of the rooms and the little touches such as small chocolates in your room, and biscuits are very welcoming (just in case you get hungry in the night).
Home from home this place has to be the best, and I would recommend this Hilary guesthouse to anyone.
My wife and I can however get there on the train to Llanndudno. The Hilary guesthouse is just around half a mile from the railway station maybe a bit less.
Deborah and Colin the proprietors of the Hilary have offered to collect us from the station and take us to the guesthouse as we sometimes have problems with our mobility, which we think is a very generous gesture, as it would save us from getting wet if it was raining.

Could not have had a better experience..
We stayed for 3 nights and wished we could have stayed longer.
We have stayed in a number of hotels/guesthouses in Llandudno over the years and the Hilary is the best. Such lovely acommodation, all you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Breakfasts are great, Debs and Collin make you feel so welcome and special. we are so impressed we have booked another stay in May ( can't wait).
