My wife and I have stayed at this guesthouse before, and that was about 12 months ago. Our daughter usually does the trip and takes us to stay at the Hilary, as we have no transport of our own, as we are both disabled and cannot drive. This time on the 10th June 2008 we arrived at approx. 5.15pm.
We rang the bell and Colin came out with a smile, as usual, picked up the two suitcases and showed us to our room.
At breakfast there is always a warm and welcoming smile from Deborah as she takes our orders, and nothing seems too much trouble for her or Colin. Their daughter Katie aged nearly four, sometimes comes into the breakfast room and it is nice to talk to her.
When we need advice on where to eat out at night their knowledge has been spot on, and we haven,t had a bad meal at any of their recomendations.
The cleanliness of the rooms and the little touches such as small chocolates in your room, and biscuits are very welcoming (just in case you get hungry in the night).
Home from home this place has to be the best, and I would recommend this Hilary guesthouse to anyone.
My wife and I can however get there on the train to Llanndudno. The Hilary guesthouse is just around half a mile from the railway station maybe a bit less.
Deborah and Colin the proprietors of the Hilary have offered to collect us from the station and take us to the guesthouse as we sometimes have problems with our mobility, which we think is a very generous gesture, as it would save us from getting wet if it was raining.
