The rooms were not very nice at all. Very small, everything very cramped together. Bathroom was absolutly tiny. Beds were hard and my poor mother had a bad back when she woke up. We didn't even have a propper door on the bathroom, we had something that looked like a wooden plank that went side to side and back and forth, and not one of them lovely ones that you see in expensive hotels either. The bathroom also didn't have a window. Our room was equiped with the hotels fire exit, I don't think it's the safest place to put it.
On the positive side, the food was lovely and well done at dinner time, and the staff were very friendly. At breckfast though, the toast was just left on the table, and you had to sit in the same seats everytime. We were seated with two people who we didn't know because there was not enough tables for us to sit alone.
I truly wouldn't reccomend it, but the entertainment was very good aswell, so maybe for a weekend away, but to stay no longer then that.

Have just come back from a midweek break at this hotel. It is situated on the central prom near to shops and the mobility centre, if walking aids or wheel chairs need to be hired. The food was ample and beautifully cooked with the vegetables served separately, even the gravy was home made and always more if you asked. My favourite was the porridge and enjoyed by all my family, The entertainment was very good. I did use the swimming pool and towels were provided. Our twin room was clean but the ensuite needed updating. I found a quiet room at the back which is in the process of being refurbished and needed i think as the lounge areas are open plan and if you wanted to chat it was difficult. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. nothing was too much trouble. It all depends on how you ask! Would certainly come back

Having enjoyed a 4 night stay in the hotel, I was impressed. The public rooms were spotlessly clean and smart. The bedrooms were also very clean, comfortable, and had clean towels every day. When one of our party had an accident and needed a hospital, the manager and receptionists were extremely efficient and helpful.
There was a limited choice of menu in the dining room but the food was good, well-cooked and presented, and we had sufficient to eat - no feeling hungry. The staff were friendly and did their best to satisfy any request. This break was good value for money.
Very pleased of Lancashire

A disappointing 4 day stay. Room was OK in size but there were stains on the carpet and ceiling. The whole place needs a cleaning facelift and re-painting. The lifts were useful as we were on the fourth floor but they were smelly which was really off-putting. The bathroom had low pressure in the WC tank and took an age to fill. The extractor fan didn't work and as a result the bathroom steamed up and there were cobwebs on the ceiling. The food was bland with what looked/tasted like frozen roasties/chips and super thin slices of meat. Don't rely on parking at the rear as there is only space for a dozen cars. The staff were friendly and hard working but the last morning's breakfast took an age. Special discount rate offered from newspaper advert but you get what you pay for!

this hotel is comfortable and very well cared for, is is a shame the food lets it down, I stayed for the last week in June. the meals at breakfast were a bit small but I was told I could have more if I wanted more, but how can you have more if they keep running out of food on the breakfast menu, I pity anybody who is the last to be served at breakfast time. The evening meal is bland and not a very good selection, nothing is cooked from fresh, it all tastes like it has been frozen the overcooked also if you are the last to be served your meal will be either cold or inedible,I think this hotel is trying to cut corners and the guests are suffering for it. the staff were very good and polite, receptionists were exelent. All I can say is I hope this hotel makes some vast improvements on the food, if not I will be avoiding this Hotel.
